| Abstract: | Dans le désarroi où se trouve le jeune Balzac, son seul soutien est Laure de Berny, la Dilecta, dont il devient l’amant en 1822. Cette femme, plus âgée de vingt ans, lui tient lieu d'amante et de mère. Elle l’encourage, le conseille, lui prodigue sa tendresse et lui fait apprécier le goût et les mœurs de l’Ancien Régime. |
| Description: | In the distress where the young Balzac is, his only support is Laure de Berny, the Dilecta, of which he becomes the lover in 1822. This woman, older than twenty years, takes her place of lover and mother. She encouraged him, advised him, lavished his tenderness on him and made him appreciate the taste and manners of the Ancien Régime. |
