dc.description.abstract The article deals with the development of the geographic culture of a geography teacher as one of the main components of his professional competence. It has been stated that geographic culture is a way of transforming the geographic environment and a person by himself, the ability to navigate in time and space in accordance with the requirements of reality. It has been proved that the teacher's culture is a special style of his thinking, readiness to analyze and transform pedagogical situations.
