dc.description.abstract	The article presents a method for determining stresses and displacements in a normal crack using the well-known solutions of the theory of elasticity for a semi-infinite body. In this case, the imposition of the problem when a tangential force is applied on the free surface of a semi-infinite body and the problem of applying a force inside a semi-infinite body are considered. The problem is solved by drawing up a system of equations in which the condition of the absence of stresses on the lateral surfaces of a rectangular prism is set.	uk_UA
