Abstract:
At the current stage of development of science and technology, the role and place, essence and content of IT significantly depend on the field of its practical application. At the same time, IT is now considered as a component of an inde pendent fundamental science that has its own scientific and categorical apparatus. So, as follows from the obtained results, IT is also a semantic system category that reflects such dominants as goal, process and optimality. The obtained results are the basis for development of new models of geophysical monitoring systems based on modern IT.
