Abstract: | There is still much debate as to what specific factors influence motivation in language learning. It is not clear how motivation affects a continued interest or success or failure in language learning, especially in an foreign language setting. Research on motivation at first only concentrated on two main motivational orientations of language learners. More recently, studies have shown a wider range of factors at work. |
